Knoll Packaging, the leader of sustainable luxury packaging, is thrilled to announce the 2022 MAC Advent Calendar won BEST LIMITED EDITION PACK at the 2023 PCD Innovation Awards. The MAC Advent Calendar required the highest level of technical expertise to execute this complex design perfectly.

MAC partnered with Knoll Packaging to develop a unique keepsake advent calendar full of glamour and surprise, which also has a fun interactive aspect. The structure is FSC Paper & Board to ensure material traceability and is manually wrapped with plastic free metalized paper. The rigid box contains 24 individual folding doors to safely secure the product and to bring an interactive design to life.

The most complex part was the visual and spinning mechanics of the box. The ability to spin is an engineering marvel that engages the customer and creates a “wow” factor. The interior of the box can also be lifted out by the ribbon handle, which makes this coffret a true keepsake for the future. The advent calendar also features a challenging stamping and registration technique that requires the highest level of technical expertise.

The jury awarded the MAC Advent Calendar for its design and Knoll-quality. They also commented that it’s a very beautiful realization, unique, well-engineered and executed. Lorraine Pouliot, VP of Sales, accepted the award on behalf of Knoll Packaging and MAC at the ceremony held in Paris.
