Knoll Packaging has won Gold for Secondary Packaging at the 2021 CosmétiqueMag Awards. The groundbreaking 100% Knoll Ecoform pulp packaging for the House of Chanel is a first for the brand, and an engineering achievement for the luxury packaging industry. The annual awards celebrate the most outstanding innovations of the year.
The Gold award was received at the 32nd Cosmétiquemag Awards. The Cosmétiquemag Awards brings together a jury of professionals (CEOs and Presidents of major French cosmetic groups) and is the reference event in the Beauty Industry in France. The Jury rewards the most outstanding innovations of the year.
Knoll Packaging is this year's winner of the Gold Award in the Secondary Packaging category for the Factory Collection Chanel N°5 Pulp Clamshell, which launched in Summer 2021. The Factory Collection Chanel N°5 clamshell was highly appreciated by the jury for its sustainable and innovative attributes and received one of the highest scores of this awards edition.
Jeremy Cohen, President & CEO said, “The mono-material Knoll Ecoform pulp packaging for the House of Chanel is an industry first and took over 18 months to develop. It took an extraordinary amount of engineering problem-solving and has now redefined the benchmark for sustainable luxury packaging. Since this project launched, Knoll Packaging has also been able to launch an oversized Knoll Ecoform molded pulp advent calendar for Chanel, a first for the brand and industry. We are greatly appreciative of the collaboration between the House of Chanel and Knoll, which allows for these projects to come to life.”
This sleek and all-white Knoll Ecoform clamshell is made of FSC-certified bamboo and bagasse (waste from sugarcane). The package is also biodegradable and recyclable in the paper & board recycling stream. Behind the purity and perfection of this design lies a high degree of complexity of both development and engineering to bring this unique shape to life.
The Knoll Ecoform molded pulp clamshell for Chanel also recently won the Formes de Luxe Awards.
