Knoll Printing & Packaging has been awarded a Gold Medal from EcoVadis in recognition of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) achievements. EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, intelligence, and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains. Knoll ranks among the top 5% of all companies, as assessed by EcoVadis. This is the second consecutive year Knoll Packaging has received a Gold Level.
Jeremy Cohen, President and CEO of Knoll Packaging, added, "Our philosophy at Knoll Packaging is that metrics and data are at the core of driving and validating sustainable business practices. We are constantly measuring our impact and using real data to help drive our entire industry forward. This ideology is why we deeply value EcoVadis and its ability to measure success and identify areas of improvement. Receiving a Gold ranking for the second year in a row is a reflection of our ability to have greater control of our supply chain through FSC-Certification, the ability to measure material consumption, and the implementation of recyclable materials, including Knoll EcoForm molded pulp. We are prepared to meet the growing demands from EcoVadis and our industry, as our team continues to set the standard for luxury sustainable packaging.”
Wincy Cheng, Global Director of Sustainability at Knoll Packaging, said, “As the field of sustainability continues to evolve and improve, we are delighted to be able to maintain our EcoVadis Gold status this year. EcoVadis assured Knoll is demonstrating an advanced management system on environmental issues, labor & human rights issues, and sustainable procurement. The assessment helps us to identify focus points from critical issues common to the industry that we need to address. We strive to be the leader in our industry and will continue to work on our improvement areas.”
Knoll Packaging was evaluated on the strengths of its actions and policies for Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Through materiality assessment, it was identified that supply chain is a key factor to Knoll. Knoll put tremendous effort in this area and is rated top 5% for its sustainability procurement effort among companies rated by EcoVadis in the industry.
For the third year in a row, Knoll was also named a LEAD company by the United Nations Global Compact. LEAD participation demonstrates a company’s ongoing commitment to the United Nations Global Compact and its Ten Principles.
