This bespoke piece reveals a hidden surprise: when the ribbon is pulled to access the candle, three panels glide open simultaneously to unveil a festive Happy Holidays message. The joyful artwork—featuring cotton-candy skies, hot-air balloons, rollercoasters, and a whimsical carousel—captures a year defined by momentum and reaching new heights. Advanced finishing techniques enrich the design, adding depth, movement, and the signature holiday wonder that defines Knoll craftsmanship.
A BREAKTHROUGH YEAR FOR KNOLL ECOFORM MOLDED PULP
Knoll Packaging and Guerlain release breakthrough Skincare Refill using Knoll Ecoform Molded Pulp
Knoll Packaging and Guerlain are proud to announce the launch of the first Skincare Refill using Knoll Ecoform Molded Pulp co-created with Guerlain exclusively for Guerlain’s Orchidée Impériale THE NEW LONGEVITY CREAM.
This pioneering refill represents a major advancement in sustainable luxury packaging. It is the result of more than three years of collaborative research and development, during which Knoll Packaging and Guerlain’s innovation teams worked to design, test, and validate a molded pulp solution capable of protecting one of Guerlain’s most precious skincare formulas. It required the creation of new methods to assess its performance and meet Guerlain’s exacting quality standards. More than 9,500 test pieces were produced and over 80 airtightness tests carried out.
The refill is currently patent-pending with Guerlain and Knoll Packaging (FR 24 04336).

UN Global Compact: Communication on Progress
The Communication on Progress (CoP) is the UN Global Compact’s annual disclosure mechanism and platform for our business participants to report their progress toward the Ten Principles and the Sustainable Development Goals. The enhanced CoP provides participants with a standardized and comprehensive way to measure, demonstrate and improve our sustainability performance.
Knoll has committed their global resources to continue advancing the global goals within the area of impact. This includes:
- Promote a decent work environment at our facilities and throughout our supply chain
- Ensure non-discrimination, gender equality, and anti-corruption throughout the company and supply chain
- Source alternative materials and promote environmentally friendly practices through design innovation
- Continuously monitor our consumption and production to identify areas of improvement
- Foster sustainable use of forest-based material sourced from sustainably managed forests
- Establish an on-going dialogue with our stakeholders to obtain better understanding of our impacts
Knoll receives 2024 Gold EcoVadis Medal and is in the 97th percentile for sustainability. Ecovadis provides companies like Knoll a benchmark to guide us on our sustainability journey. As more companies join the platform, the assessment standard will become stricter, and it will be a challenge for companies to be recognized with a medal. This reinforces our motivation to continually improve our sustainability performance as we strive to be the leader and set the standard for the luxury packaging industry.
