It has been announced Knoll Printing & Packaging has received FSC Chain-of-Custody Certification (FSC C163354) from the Forest Stewardship Council®. Knoll went through an extensive auditing process to uphold the strict standards set by FSC.

Forest Stewardship Council, or FSC, is an independent, non-profit organization that has established a certification system to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. Chain-of-Custody is the path taken by raw materials harvested from FSC -certified sources through processing, manufacturing and distribution until it is a final product ready for sale to the end user. FSC COC certification allows Knoll to label products with the FSC brand consistent with Forest Stewardship Council policies.

In addition to the FSC Chain-of-Custody certification, Knoll has made a commitment to utilize only FSC-certified materials in all packaging.

Wincy Cheng, Sustainability Director of Global Operations said, “Knoll has manufactured rigid paper and board packages for over 35 years. Through our history, we’ve seen the importance of protecting our forests and utilizing materials that are sourced responsibility. This assures that we are doing our part in protecting the world’s forest and have continuity in our material supply. We’ve also pledged to utilize only FSC materials in our packages moving forward, an important step to ensure that we are all doing our part.”

In 2020, Knoll was named a LEAD Company at the United Nations Global Compact and awarded EcoVadis Gold for sustainability.
